If you want to get the best benefits of Retinol and for your skin to benefit from its properties in a safe way, take note of these aspects to take into account:
At what age do I start Retinol?
Retinol is ideal for oily, combination, normal and even sensitive skin: generally, it is recommended from the age of 30, which is when collagen levels begin to decrease more rapidly. If you have very aged or damaged skin, you could start a little earlier and if you have incredible skin, start later.
What Retinol to use?
If you are new to Retinol, choose a product with a low concentration, I recommend our 0.3% Pure Retinol. Download the guide and discover which one is ideal for your skin type and age.Retinol in the morning or at night?
Exclusive use at night and in the morning apply sun protection. Another recommendation is if you are going to start with Retinol, do not do it in the months with the most solar radiation (summer months), wait until September unless you live in areas where the radiation is milder.
How much should I use?
Start with a small amount of Retinol, 4 drops, and apply it all over your face. In addition, we recommend starting to use it every night, every other night, so that your skin begins to get used to it. Download the guide to see the initiation process to Retinol.
Where not to use Retinol?
Avoid applying Retinol around the eyes, lips, neck and décolleté, as these areas are more sensitive. For the neck and décolleté area you can use our Retinyl Palmitate "La Luz".
Do I have to moisturize my skin after Retinol?
You should always apply hydration after using Retinol. We advise you to use Firming with DMAE or Extra Barrier Function Cream.
